Weddings

So you are planning to get married?! Warmest congratulations to both of  you!

If you hope to have your wedding at Church at the Crossing, here are some essentials:

OUR PURPOSE in hosting your wedding is to help you get a great start in building a healthy, Christ-centered marriage. Your marriage is important to us, not just your wedding ceremony.

BASIC EXPECTATIONS:  No doubt you have high expectations for your wedding day. Should you have your wedding here, we shall do everything we can to help you make it unforgettable. Because your relationship and marriage are important to us, we have some expectations, as well: 1)  that you express your desire to build a Christian marriage and home; and 2) that you demonstrate your willingness to do pre-marriage counseling with a pastor and/or professional counselor.

If you want one of our staff pastors (or ministry directors) to officiate your wedding, here is what you can expect:

  • Take an online Prepare/Enrich inventory to measure the agreement between you about any number of key subjects.
  • Meet with a pastor several times before the wedding. You will discuss with him or her about the number of sessions and the pre-marriage counseling process.
  • If the pastor agrees to officiate your wedding, her or she will work with you, the staff , church office, and wedding coordinator, to set a date on the church’s calendar.
  • Our wedding coordinator will help you with planning and coordinating details for your wedding at the church.

Again, we want to do all  we can to help you have a wedding that you will remember for a lifetime—and to do what we can to support you as you dream of a happy, healthy marriage. God bless you as you prepare for your wedding – and a lifetime of love!
