History of the Arabic Service
The Arabic Service started as a prayer group of seven people in 2004 at College Park Church in Indianapolis. The group started to grow when some local Arabic families joined them, and in 2007, the group of about 40 people asked Rev. Adel Hanna to be their pastor. He served there until 2014. Then in 2016, Pastor Isaac Moawed became pastor and the church of over 130 members continues to grow!
At the end of 2018, the Christian Arabic Church (CAC) began using Church at the Crossing’s building for worship and the two congregations started the process of merging together as one. The merger was completed in June 2022 and the CAC officially became the Arabic Service of Church at the Crossing.
The Arabic congregation includes Arab people from the Middle East and from all over the Arab world. The vision of the Arabic Service is to reach out to the Arab people who are living in Indiana. The church board members are Oddet Melek, Nader Rezkalla, Sameh Isaac, John Michael, Hany Marzouk, and John Khalil.
Pastor of the Arabic Congregation
Pastor Isaac Moawed was born in Egypt in 1971 and came to know the Lord Jesus as his savior in 1988. He is married to Refka Shehata and they have three sons: Steven, Andrew, and David. Pr. Isaac has 2 Bachelor’s degrees in theology and psychology and has been working as an ordained pastor with the Assemblies of God in Egypt since 2001. In 2016, he moved to the USA to pastor the CAC in Indianapolis. In 2022, he completed the required credentials to be an ordained pastor with the Church of God.
Service & Meeting Times
The Church at the Crossing Arabic Service meets for worship on Sunday afternoons at 1:30 PM. There are also Saturday meetings four times per month. These include men’s meetings at 10 AM once per month, family counseling meetings at 6:30 PM once per month, and Bible study meetings at 6:30 PM twice per month. Kids & Student Ministry
The Arabic Service kids ministry is under the leadership of Kids! Director, Jordan Davis, and takes place Sunday afternoons at 1:30 PM. The student ministry for kids in grades 5-12 is under the leadership of Youth Ministry Director, David Hughes, and takes place on Fridays at 7 PM in The Gathering Place.
تاريخ الكنيسة العربيهّ
بدأت الكنيسة العربية كمجموعهّ صلاهّ مكونهّ من سبعهّ أشخاص في عام 2004 في College Park Church في انديانابوليس. بدأت المجموعهّ في النمو عندما انضمت إليها بعض العائلات العربيهّ المحليهّ، و في عام 2007 طلبت المجموعهّ المكونهّ من حوالي 40 شخصًا من القس عادل حنا أن يكون راعي الكنيسة. خدم هناك حتى عام 2014. ثم في عام 2016، اصبح القس اسحاق معوض راعي الكنيسة. و تستمر الكنيسة التي تضم أكثر من 130 عضوًا في النمو!
في نهاية عام 2018، بدأت الكنيسة المسيحية العربية (CAC) في استخدام مبني كنيسة Church at the Crossing للعبادة و بدأ شعب الكنيستين في عملية الاندماج معًا. اكتمل الاندماج في يونيو 2022 و أصبحت الكنيسة المسيحية العربية رسميًا الخدمة العربية لكنيسة Church at the Crossing.
يوجد في الكنيسة العربية عرب من جميع أنحاء العالم العربي. تتمثل رؤية الخدمة العربية في الوصول إلى الشعوب العربية التي تعيش في ولاية انديانا. اعضاء مجلس ادارة الكنيسة هم: اوديت ملك، نادر رزق اللة، سامح اسحاق، جون مايكل، هاني مرزوق، و جون خليل.
راعي الشعب العربي
ولد القس اسحاق معوض في مصر عام 1971 و تعرف على الرب يسوع كمخلص شخصي له عام 1988. و هو متزوج من رفقة شحاتة ولديهما ثلاثة أبناء: ستيفن واندرو وديفيد. العلاقات العامة. حصل إسحاق على البكالوريوس في اللاهوت وعلم النفس، وعمل كقس مع جمعيات اللة في مصر منذ عام 2001. في عام 2016، انتقل إلى الولايات المتحدة لرعاية الكنيسة المسيحية العربية. في عام 2022، اكمل اوراق الاعتماد المطلوبة ليكون راعياً مرسومًا لطيفة Church of God.
اوقات الاجتماعات
أوقات اجتماع الخدمة العربية في Church at the Crossing تجتمع للعبادة بعد ظهر يوم الأحد الساعة 1:30. هناك ايضًا اجتماعات يوم السبت أربع مرات في الشهر. وتشمل هذه اجتماعات الرجال في الساعة 10 صباحًا مرة واحدة في الشهر، اجتماعات الإرشاد الأسري في الساعة 6:30 مساءً مرة واحدة شهريًا، واجتماعات دراسة الكتاب المقدس في الساعة 6:30 مساءً مرتين في الشهر. لمزيد من المعلومات حول اوقات الاجتماعات، اتصل ب القس اسحاق المعلومات أدناه!
خدمة الأطفال والطلاب
خدمة الأطفال الخدمة العربية تحت قيادة الأطفال مدير الخدمة، جوردان ديفيس، ويقام بعد ظهر يوم الأحد في الساعة 1:30. خدمة الأطفال في الصفوف 5-12 تحت قيادة مدير خدمة الشباب، ديفيد هيوز، وتقام ايام الجمعة في الساعة 7 مساءً في The Gathering Place.
