All-Day Preschool
Designed for working families to have a preschool and childcare experience with a schedule to meet their needs.
The classrooms operate with two-morning and two-afternoon teachers. The lead teachers at ECC have a degree in Education (or similar degree), so they are able to design age-appropriate curriculum for your child’s development. This program is registered with the State of Indiana Division of Children and Family Services.
Days & Hours
- Monday – Friday
- 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Throughout the year, the classes participate in:
- Daily Circle Time in both morning and afternoon
- In-house visitors
- Off-campus field trips
- Weekly Bible lessons with a discussion & craft
- Weekly all-school Chapel with the ECC and Church at the Crossing Kids! Ministry staff
At ECC, your child will engage and learn through:
- Play & story time
- Music & movement
- Centers
- Arts & crafts
- Large muscle play (inside gym or outdoor playground)
- Imagination & exploration
They will be exposed to:
- Shapes & colors
- Reading & writing ("Handwriting Without Tears" curriculum for older classes)
- Math & science
- Arts & crafts
- Patterns & more!
Class Sizes & Ages
We have a wide range of classes to suit preschool age and development.
Infants
- 3 - 15 months (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
- Class size: 6 children/2 teachers
Younger 2s Class
- 16 months by September 1, walking & eating finger foods
- Class Size: 9 children/2 teachers
Older 2s Class
- 2 years by September 1
- Class Size: 12 children/2 teachers
Younger 3s Class
- 2.5 years by September 1
- Class Size: 15 children/2 teachers
Older 3s Class
- 3 years and potty-trained by September 1
- Class Size: 18 children/2 teachers
Younger 4s Class
- 4 years by September 1
- Class Size: 18 children/2 teachers
Transitional Class
- 4 years by March 1
- Class Size: 18 children/2 teachers
Sample Daily Schedule
7:00 – 8:00 AM | Breakfast in the Breakfast Room
8:00 – 9:15 AM | Large Muscle Play (outdoor playground or indoor gym)
9:15 – 11:30 AM | Classroom Time (snacks, circle times, centers, exploration)
11:30 AM – 12:00 PM | Large Muscle Play
12:00 – 1:00 PM | Lunch
1:00 – 3:00 PM | Rest/Naptime
3:00 – 5:00 PM | Classroom time (snacks, circle time, centers, exploration)
5:30 – 6:00 PM | Large Muscle Play
